Egypt’s international visitors have increased greatly over the last years, reaching almost 9 million travelers per year. One of the key factors to be an attractive destination is the fact of having an electronic travel authorization system named Egypt eVisa, which is available to several nationalities including Slovak citizens.
This easy, simple, and straightforward online application form takes applicants of Slovakia a matter of minutes to complete and it can also be done from the comfort of their homes.
Applying for Egypt’s online visa as Slovak means there is no need to book an appointment with a local embassy or consulate.
Furthermore, successful applicants from Slovakia can receive the eVisa to Egypt directly to their email address.
Egyptian eVisa Requirements for Slovak Travelers
Before filling out the online application form, Slovak citizens are required to revise and comply with the mandatory Egypt eVisa requirements the Egyptian government has deemed 100% necessary in order for Slovaks to successfully obtain an electronic travel permit.
It is also important to note that all international travelers, including Slovak nationals, who hold an electronic travel permit must be entering Egypt for the purpose of tourism only.
Slovakian travelers must provide some personal information and supporting documents whilst completing the online eVisa form.
Below is a list of all the necessary requirements for Slovak visitors wishing to travel to Egypt:

Various Types of Egypt Visas for Slovak Citizens
The government of Egypt has set place various different types of Egyptian visas for international foreigners, including Slovakians, depending on the reason for visiting Egypt.
Slovak travelers are required to carefully decide and check their reasons for traveling to Egypt. If a Slovakian applicant applies for an incorrect visa type they could be denied entry into the country at the chosen port of entry.
Egypt single-entry tourist visa for Slovak travelers
The most favored electronic Egypt travel authorization is the Egyptian tourist eVisa, both in its single-entry and its multiple-entry version. This travel permit allows Slovakians to stay in the country for a total maximum of 30 consecutive days and for a validity period of 3 months from the date of approval.
Slovak visitors applying for the tourist single-entry type should be aware that this Egyptian e-Visa type only allows one entry into the country. If a Slovakian visitor exits Egypt and then later wants to re-enter, they will need to re-apply for another online visa to Egypt.
Egypt multiple-entry tourist permit for Slovak visitors
If Slovakian visitors wish to enter, exit, and then re-enter Egypt numerous times, they have the option of obtaining a multiple-entry tourist Egypt eVisa.
This travel permit allows its holder to enter numerous times over an eVisa validity period of 180 days from the date of approval. Slovakians applying for this e-visa type should note that they can only stay in Egypt for a maximum of 30 consecutive days per entry.
Egypt transit visa for Slovak passengers
The transit visa to Egypt serves the purpose of Slovakian travelers traveling to Egypt as a means to pass through the country for a short time whilst en route to their final destination. This means that Egypt is not the final destination.
The following must be provided by Slovaks in order to apply for an Egypt’s transit visa:
- A valid passport from Slovakia
- A copy or scanned image of the onward flight itinerary showing the final destination of the traveler’s trip
Eligible Slovak travelers are usually allowed to leave the airport if the transiting time is between 6 and 48 hours.
Egypt visa on arrival for Slovaks
The alternative method of obtaining a Visa on Arrival, also known as Egypt VOA, for Slovakian visitors traveling to Egypt. However, this method of successfully receiving a Visa on Arrival has been said to be less convenient than Egypt’s eVisa since more time-consuming and more preparation is needed in advance.
Slovakian travelers hoping to receive a VOA will need to prepare their supporting documents and have all their personal information ready to present to the immigration officers at the chosen port of entry.
If the requirements of the supporting documents and personal information are not met, travelers from Slovakia could face a refusal in obtaining the VOA when having already traveled to the country consequently in loss of time and money.
